QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s degree and valid PA Mid-Level Math 4-8 required.
- Working knowledge of curriculum and concepts in area of certificate, child growth, developmental patterns, student behavior characteristics, skilled in classroom management, lesson design and educational trends.
- Ability to utilize a variety of instructional strategies to motivate students in the classroom.
- Effectively supervise and mange students so that they feel safe and secure.
- Knowledge of current educational trends.
- Ability to communicate effectively with good oral and written form with students, parents, agencies and staff members.
- Follow all District and building policies, processes, procedures, rules and regulations consistently.
PERFORMANCE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Plans and prepares daily lessons that are designed based on formative assessment data and follows the prescribed curriculum. Those planned lessons must include a variety of instructional methods for the purpose of addressing individual student learning styles.
- Develops assessments that accurately reflect what a student should know, understand and be able to do and provides feedback to the student, parents and administration in a timely manner
- Advises parents and/or legal guardians of student progress regularly. Moreover, the teacher counsels students for the purpose of improving academic performance regarding their performance.
- Collaborates with instructional staff, other school personnel, parents and others for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student learning
- Manages student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment that maximizes instructional time.
- Monitors students in a variety of educational environments for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
- Participates in a variety of meetings and professional development activities for the purpose of growing as a professional educator.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook and Teams. And a willingness to experiment and work with new technologies is required.
- Reviews and implements all Specially Designed Instruction (SDI’s) and modifications for students with a learning disability in the classroom.
