The Penn Hills School District, located in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh is currently seeking Elementary Summer Tutor(s) for the 24/25 SY.
PHEA members have right of first refusal for the following Summer Tutor positions.
POSITION TITLE: Elementary Summer Tutor
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess PDE certification, required (Elementary Certification preferred).
REPORTS TO: Summer Tutor Coordinator and/or designee
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- 5-week summer program in addition to a mandatory (4 hr) training prior to the start of the program, date TBD.
- June 23, 2025 through July 23, 2025 (Monday-Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
- Applicants must be available for the entire duration of the Penn Hills Summer Tutoring Program, along with a mandatory (4 hr) training prior to the start of the program, date TBD.

PRFORMANCE ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES (include but not limited to):
- Provide Reading and Math instruction and support to student's approaching proficiancy who will be entering grades 3-5 for the 25/26 SY

Keep accurate records.

Communicate with coordinator and families.

Maintain confidentiality.

Supervision of students.
