The Penn Hills School District, located in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh is currently recruiting for 2 Student Intervention Specialists (SIS) - High School.

 

Position Summary

The Student Intervention Specialist (SIS) is responsible for collaborating with classroom teams in the development, implementation and monitoring of effective, individualized academic and behavioral programming for students.  The SIS can be in the role of individualized student support and/or classroom support.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  1. To assure effective academic and behavioral health programming for each student which results in progress and program completion.
  2. To assure comprehensive documentation of all behavioral progress.
  3. To assure the continuous safety of all students.
  4. To assure the continuing development of professional skills.

Qualifications

  • Clearances. Act 114 FBI, Act 34 PA Criminal History, Act 151 Child Abuse, Act 126 Mandated Reporter and any additional background checks/clearances required by Penn Hills School District.

  • Education - Required High School diploma, Preferred BA in education, human services or related field, preferred experience working with at risk youth (emotional/behavioral)
